Terms of Use.
What you can do with this site, the prompt library and the assessment, and what we are and are not responsible for.
These terms
These terms of use govern your use of perkins-smartops.com (the "site"). Using the site means you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.
Three other documents apply alongside them: our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and our Disclaimer.
Nothing on this site is a contractual offer capable of acceptance. Prices, service descriptions and worked examples are published for general information. Work is sold under a separate written agreement signed by both sides, and that agreement, not this site, sets what we do and what it costs.
Who we are
The site is operated by Perkins SmartOps Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16995399. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, and we work from Northamptonshire. We are not registered for VAT.

Contacting us through the site
The site gives you three ways to send us something: the AI and automation assessment, the WingLink feedback form, and email.
Anything you send through them is collected, used and held as set out in our Privacy Policy. We may read and monitor what comes through them.
When you use them, do not send anything that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, or deliberately offensive; anything that infringes somebody else's intellectual property or breaches a duty of confidence you owe them; anything designed to deceive, including impersonating another person or implying a connection with us that does not exist; or anything containing a virus or other harmful code.
Do not send us anyone else's personal data unless you have the right to. The assessment asks about your business, not about named individuals, and it does not need any.
Access to the site
Access is free. Making the arrangements to reach it, including your own device and internet connection, is your responsibility.
The site is provided as is and as available. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it at any time, and we do not promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Where a change is significant and we can give notice, we will.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version on this page is the current one, and it applies to your use of the site from the moment it is posted, so it is worth checking the date above. Where the current version conflicts with an earlier one, the current version wins unless we say otherwise in writing.
Our content
Everything on the site, including the text, images, code, articles and prompts, belongs to us or is used by us under licence, and is protected by UK and international intellectual property law.
You may read the site, print pages from it, and download extracts for your own use. Our authorship must be acknowledged where you reproduce anything.
You may not systematically copy or download content from the site in order to compile a collection, directory or database, and you may not republish, sell, rent or sub-licence our content as your own. The next section sets out the different and deliberately wider position for the prompt library.
Nothing here limits the exceptions in Chapter III of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, which allow certain uses of copyright material including non-commercial research and private study, criticism and review, reporting current events, teaching, and accessibility.
The prompt library
The prompts published at perkins-smartops.com/prompts/ are given away deliberately. You may copy them, change them, and use them in your own business, including commercially, without payment and without asking us. You do not need to credit us, although we would rather you did.
Two limits. Do not republish the library, or a substantial part of it, as a collection of your own, and do not sell it. And the prompts are a starting point rather than advice: what a prompt produces depends on the model you run it on and the information you give it, and the section on reliance and liability below applies to anything you do with the output.
Scraping and automated extraction
You may not use a bot, scraper, spider or any other automated system to access, copy or republish the content of this site in bulk.
We do not prohibit AI systems from reading this site or citing it. We publish so that people and the systems they use can find the answer, and an AI assistant quoting an article and naming us as the source is the point rather than a breach of these terms. What is not allowed is bulk extraction, automated copying at scale, and republishing our content as somebody else's.
Using the site properly
Use the site lawfully, and comply with the law that applies where you are.
Do not introduce viruses or other harmful code to the site or through it, do not try to gain unauthorised access to the site or to any server, computer or database connected to it, and do not attack it by means of a denial of service attack or otherwise. Doing any of those things may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we will report it to the police and cooperate with them, including by disclosing your identity.
If you break this section or the rules on contacting us, we may suspend or end your access to the site, write to you about it, recover our costs from you, take further legal action, or tell law enforcement. We are not liable for what we do in response to your breach.
Reliance and liability
Nothing on this site is professional advice, and nothing on it should be relied on as advice about your own business. Our Disclaimer sets this out in full, including on pricing, worked examples and estimated outcomes.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the site accurate, complete and current. We do not guarantee that it is.
If you are using the site in the course of a business, we exclude all implied representations, warranties, conditions and other terms, and we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from anything you relied on it for, whether in contract, in tort including negligence, for breach of statutory duty or otherwise. That includes loss of profit, sales, business or revenue, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss.
If you are a consumer, we have no liability to you for business losses, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Security of the site
We take reasonable care to keep the site secure and free of viruses and malware. We cannot guarantee it. Protecting your own hardware, software and data is your responsibility.
Links
You may link to any page on this site, provided the link is fair and lawful, does not damage our reputation or take unfair advantage of it, and does not suggest a connection with us, or an endorsement by us, that does not exist. Do not use our logo or wordmark in a link without our written permission, and do not frame or embed the site in another site without it. Automatically generated link previews on social platforms are fine.
The site links out to other websites. Those sites are not under our control, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
Your personal information
We use your personal information only as set out in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. The site sets no cookies.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute between you and us arising out of them or out of your use of the site, whether contractual or not, are governed by English law.
If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law where you live, and the courts of England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland have jurisdiction according to where you live.
